Names and notes in your birthday and occasion entries are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored in the database. This means that even with direct database access, this data cannot be read without the encryption key. Dates are not encrypted as they are used to calculate reminders.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed, including birthdays, occasions, shared entries, and trusted devices. Declined shared entries are automatically deleted after 30 days. Pending shared entries expire after 90 days.
